What is your title and how long have you been in your current position?

I’ve been working as a Vice President for the past two years and have been part of the organization for more than 18 years.

Give us a little insight into your role and what you do.

I’m a member of the Fund Solutions Team and provide our hedge fund clients with daily and monthly operation support. My team handles maintenance of the client’s portfolio, settlement of cash, and break resolution with street. We consume data from multiple entities throughout the day and reconcile it with our client portfolio. The insights we provide to our clients help them optimize risk and reduce counterparty risk.

What’s the most interesting thing about working here and the work you do?

For me, working in Fund Services involves dealing with various hedge funds, each with its own unique strategies, investments, and challenges. This dynamic environment provides me with exposure to a wide range of financial instruments and investment strategies, which keeps the work engaging and intellectually stimulating.

The nature of hedge fund operations is complex, and requires development of a broad set of skills, including financial analysis, regulatory compliance, and proficiency with technology. CSC offers many excellent opportunities for learning and professional growth and options to take on new challenges and responsibilities. The financial industry is increasingly leveraging technology to streamline processes, enhance decision-making, and improve efficiency. Working here exposed me to advanced software platforms, data analytics tools, and automation technologies, and helps me to stay at the forefront of technological innovation.

Overall, the combination of a dynamic environment, critical role, opportunities for learning and growth, and exposure to technology has provided me with a rewarding career.

What advice would you give to someone wanting to join CSC or your team

What gets you excited about coming to work in the morning?

Having a clear sense of purpose in my work is what gets me out of bed in the morning. Every day brings new opportunities to learn and overcome obstacles, which keeps me engaged and excited. I love working with our team of talented individuals. The synergy we create when we collaborate and bounce ideas off each other is incredibly motivating. I thrive on challenges and the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally. It’s inspiring to see our collective efforts drive success. Knowing that what I do aligns with my values and contributes to something meaningful makes each day fulfilling. I’m excited to come to work because I see it as an opportunity for continuous learning and development. Whether it’s mastering new skills, keeping up with industry trends, or taking on new challenges, each day offers a new chance to grow.

What is the work-life balance like? Are you supported in pursuing interests outside of work?

I value work-life balance tremendously. It allows me to bring my best self to both my professional and personal pursuits. In my experience, I’ve found that CSC prioritizes this balance and supports employees in maintaining it.
