Mark Thompson
Mark Thompson is a Senior Managing Consultant with PFM Asset Management LLC and is responsible for assisting clients in the state of Minnesota. Mark’s primary focus is to provide a broad range of investment advisory and consulting services to public entities and non-profit institutions. He advises clients in matters of investment pools, fixed-income investment portfolio strategies, bond proceeds investment, and cash flow management needs. Additionally, Mr. Thompson promotes PFM’s expertise in the multi-asset class manager space to schools, hospitals, endowments and foundations.
Mr. Thompson has more than 20 years of institutional investment experience. Prior to joining PFM, he was Vice President of Institutional Fixed-Income Sales at Wells Fargo, where he was responsible for selling high grade fixed-income investments to large financial institutions such as insurance companies, professional money managers and mutual funds companies. He also spent two years at Dougherty & Co. in Minneapolis specializing in placing high-yield municipal bonds with institutional investors.
Mr. Thompson received his Bachelor’s degree in Financial Economics from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN. He has two FINRA licenses – Series 7 (General Securities Representative) and 63 (Uniform Securities Agent Law). Mr. Thompson is also a member of the Government Finance Officers Association.
